Raised under Taranaki Maunga in Whakaahurangi, with whakapapa to Ngāruahine, Ngāti Rangitihi and Ngāti Whitikaupeka, Sarah is a Māori resource management practitioner with diverse experience. Beginning her career at New Plymouth District Council in the resource consents and policy teams, spending time in local government planning in the United Kingdom and to more recently working with Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa Trust alongside marae, hapū and iwi to achieve aspirations through a range of taiao related kaupapa, including through the New Plymouth Proposed District Plan.
Based in Ngāmotu, Sarah is a member of the Institute of Directors and holds board governance positions with Te Korowai o Ngāruahine Trust, Te Kīwai Mauī o Ngāruahine and the Taranaki Rugby Football Union.
