Fleur has broad-ranging experience in conservation and natural resource management across theoretical, strategic, and policy levels which she combines with first-hand experience in the realities of policy implementation. Fleur has worked for central and local government, an international conservation NGO, an ecological consultancy, and held post-doc positions giving her a solid understanding of the many perspectives and challenges at play.
Fleur has expertise in biodiversity policy; natural capital and ecosystem services approaches to natural resource management; biodiversity offsetting theory, policy, and implementation; and bringing biodiversity considerations into land management practices and farm planning.
Fleur was a founding member of The Catalyst Group where she has held a senior role for the past 12 years. She is in demand for her expert contribution in the conservation science space and for working alongside the team to link science, policy, and on-the-ground actions to bring bespoke, tailored solutions to crunchy problems. Fleur is also a qualified independent commissioner.
